School Messenger

Some of you are experiencing problems with the "Message Sender" link in Powerschool.
That link actually re-directs you to a Single Sign On portal within School Messenger's website.
When attempting to log in you are getting an "Authorization Failed" message.

School Messenger is aware of the problem, have identified that it is related to Chrome and are working on a fix.

In the meantime you can do at least two different things.
  1. Use another browser
  2. From Powerteacher Pro, go to Apps on the left, and select School Messenger.  That will take you directly to School Messenger using the Single Sign On.  From there you will be able to use School Messenger.

If you are really daring, you can try this

Have the customer Open their Chrome Browser.
  • In the address bar type chrome://flags
  • Search for "SameSite by default cookies"
  • Change from "Default" to "Disabled"

There are reports coming in from around the internet that Google is having trouble with Drive and Classroom.
Google had similar outages on 1/27.
No known ETR for services to be restored.
We have been checking the GSuite status pages and other internet forums for more information.

iBoss Testing

The technology department is testing iBoss enhancements to get us connected to the iBoss cloud network and enable SSL decryption. This will solve some of the problems students experience when using their school Google Apps account from home and give us more visibility into student Internet searches. This testing is scheduled from December 12 - 14 and could cause brief Internet outages. No outages are planned but the potential still exists during configuration changes. The duration of potential outages would be limited to 1-2 minutes.
